If you know me, you would know how much I love being near the water. I am lucky that my husband Mayank happens to feel the same way. So when we recently turned three years in our marriage, we decided to celebrate our anniversary by taking our little girl on her first boat ride.

Initially while we were getting our canoe I was nervous. Although I am a good swimmer I was still scared to take my little love on a boat. But to our surprise it was not at all difficult. We had a great time and canoed for close to two hours.

We sang songs, spoke about how our life has changed and how much we love raising our little human, remembering old times, discussed our dream travel destinations and for some time just sat their in peace feeling the water around us. As for Mishika, she was amazed to be surrounded by water, was excited to see the fallen branches, notice the birds around us and was busy smiling at people who crossed us in their kayaks. It was a beautiful time which I would always like to cherish in the time to come.

Sharing some beautiful snaps from our short canoe trip. Hope you enjoy them.

Feeling excited after our first canoe with our little girl.

Finally some coffee to celebrate our first canoe and our three year wedding anniversary at our favorite @spotcoffee.

I recently shared some tips on my Instagram post on how to canoe with a baby. Here is the link.
