Celebration our little pumpkin on her birthday and spoiling her with special treats!

So this halloween, on Oct 31st our little lady turned 2!! Mayank and I often talk about it that how lucky did we turn out to have such a sweet and compassionate soul enter and bless our life. Mishika came into this world without giving me any labor (honestly the doctor felt that she did not want to come out of me). Almost a week late, there was no sign of the baby dropping! Mayank used to often tease me a lot that Mishika is too snuggled and not ready to leave her warm and cozy home inside my tummy. I used to love having her in me and the day I had Mishika being pulled out of me, I could feel like a strong force of something huge parting away from me.

From the day 1, Mishika has always been overly caring and so sweet. She is so kind and loves taking care of everyone around her. Her kindness shows in every little act of her, when we go out to play her favorite ‘ball' game she makes sure that every kid around here has a ball too. Also, she loves to share everything with all of us all the time, take care of our ‘boo-boo', and keeps asking us again and again ‘if we are ok'!

I feel over the moon to have her and celebrate her every single day in our life. She makes every moment happy, every family outing exciting, she's the most important topic of discussion between me and Mayank and not to forget her smile always wins our heart!

As Mishika's birthday happens to fall on ‘halloween' it made Oct 31st all the more special to us! We started off with a fun filled halloween parade in her school where we dressed her up as a little pumpkin. I could tell that she felt really special and absolutely loved her trick-or-treat basket! Once the parade was over, we did cut a cake with all her school friends and sang ‘happy birthday' to her.

This birthday is all the more special as my parents flew down from India and my sister from London to celebrate Mishika turning 2! My mom got her a beautiful ‘white dress' which she loved to twirl around in and kept saying ‘I am pretty'. She looked absolutely adorable just like a little princess in her white dress. We all had a tasty lunch at one of our favorite chinese and vietnamese restaurant, which is our favorite here in Buffalo and although we did plan a few other things, our plans had to be changed as there was huge rainstorm warning and so to be safe we decided to take the party home.

I was a little disappointed with the storm as I was so looking forward to the trick-or-treat! Although it was raining like cats and dogs outside, Mayank and I decided to take Mishika trick-or-treating as I think we were too excited too. We had a blast taking Mishika from home to home in the umbrella, trying to protect her as much as we could and helping her collect treats. Every time Mishika would get treats she would proudly look at us and say ‘I did it daddy', ‘I did it, mommy'…It was all so cute yet emotional seeing our little pie grow from a tiny tot into this beautiful fine lady.

I often wonder sitting at home that I am surely going to miss all this when Mishika is all grown up. In all reality, however, tiring it is to take care of a baby these are also the best time of our lives and I plan to make the best of them and give her ‘the most awesome and amazing childhood'! We love you a lot Mishika, even words are not enough to describe it. And remember your mommy loves you the most. Always keep shining and growing into this kind and the fine lady that you are. And yes, thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us!! Love you!
