Well, summer is officially here and all we have been doing lately is spending as much time as possible, outside soaking the sun. After living in Buffalo for close to seven-plus years, summer often feels like a luxury. Out here we get close to three months of summer and a really long snowy winter. So as soon as the temperature had started to rise here a couple of weeks back, I made sure to set our backyard up for some much-needed summer fun with floats, sprinklers all bloated, and ready to go.
Although summer is awesome and it is the season to absolutely embrace dresses and flip flops, it is still important to be fully aware of the negative side effect of being exposed in the sun for long. As a child, I grew up with an issue of sensitive skin which would get easily irritated as soon as I would get exposed to the sun for long.
Since summer here is all about beaches and state parks and whatever time we have left we make sure to spend it playing in the sprinklers in our backyard, I have been extra cautious about stocking our home with all the necessary sun gears needed to protect ourselves this summer. Especially, with a toddler at home, having the right sunscreen with a good SPF rating is all the more needed.
Lately, we have been all using Alba Botanica’s sunscreen as a family and I absolutely love it. One of the common issues that I had often faced with sunscreens in the past was that once I would have rubbed them on my face, they would often leave a white layer on my skin and also it would not get easily absorbed by the skin. But with Alba Botanica’s sunscreen, I have noticed the exact opposite. These creams are made with a silky oil blend that absorbs quickly for a smooth finish without a heavy or greasy feeling and also moisturizes your skin.
Also along with protecting your skin from the harmful UVA and UVB rays, all of Alba Botanica’s products are organic and made with all-natural ingredients that not only protect your skin but the environment as well. Their sunscreens are biodegradable and reef safe, meaning they don’t contain sunscreen active ingredients known to have a potentially adverse impact on coral reef. You won’t find ingredients like octinoxate, PABA, oxybenzone, nano-particles, or Vitamin A listed in their ingredient list.
Alba Botanica has a wide range of sun care products that can easily cater to everyone in the family from young kids to adults. I absolutely love their Hawaiian Coconut Clear Spray Sunscreen SPF 50, which is made with coconut extract, shea butter, and avocado oil and extensively moisturizes your skin once applied.
And for Mishika, I have been loving their Alba Botanica Kids Clear Spray Sunscreen SPF 50 and Tropical Fruit Kids SPF 45 Sunscreen which is lightweight, made with organic botanical ingredients and is water-resistant for unto 80 minutes. Because the cream feels so soft and amazing, I have never found myself struggling with Mishika to apply them to her. She loves them and happily puts them on.
If you are looking to stock up on Alba Botanica’s suncare products, then you can find them at Walmart. Walmart carries the entire range of Alba Botanica’s suncare products shown below which can be purchased online as well as through the grocery pickup.
So make sure to stock up on these Alba Botanica’s suncare products so that you can enjoy your summer stress-free knowing that you are using the best products.
