If there is one amazing love that I have developed after becoming a mother, it is doing arts and crafts activities with my little Mishika all the time. It’s our favorite thing to do and spending time making creative arts and crafts at home is such a great way to bond as well. Especially during the last year, when I was homeschooling Mishika I found that arts and crafts were a great tool to teach her new things. It helped her be creative, think outside the box and it was one of the best methods through which I could help her explore the world around her.
As much as we both love creating these arts and crafts at home, one of my biggest struggles has been how to manage these growing piles of art activities in our home. From painting, handprints, first coloring portraits of Mishika, butterfly crafts, spring crafts, suncatchers, seasonal crafts, they could be found everywhere in our home.
As a mom, I absolutely wanted to treasure her first works of art, but finding stacks of paper everywhere had started to become a big problem for me. It was not until I found Artkive, a company that organizes your child's artwork and converts it into a beautiful keepsake, that I was able to solve this problem. Discovering Artkive has been a complete gamechanger for me!

What is Artkive?
Artkive is the perfect solution for parents to hold onto their little one's creation and be able to get rid of the clutter at the same time. It’s a very thoughtful process where you can create an amazing keepsake book of your kids' arts and crafts creations or a framed mosaic and always be able to hold on to these joyful memories.
Once you send your Artkive box back to their studio, they begin working on it. The designers at Artkive professionally photograph and edit each piece with studio lighting and state-of-the-art equipment. Once everything is beautifully captured, they will send you an invoice based on the number of pieces you have sent. Also, the best part is, that you are included on each and every step of the Artkive book creating process from them receiving your artwork to when the final Artkive book reaches your doorstep. They also send you the digital version of the Artkive book for proofreading before publishing it. The entire process is pretty neat!
What does the Artkive process look like?
Step 1 – Order an Artkive box: You have to go online to the Artkive website and create an account and choose a service. After that, the Artkive team will send you a 24”x 18” x 4” crush-proof box that can hold up to 200 pieces of art, reusable art protection back and a prepaid shipping label to send your box back to them. Once you place the order for the Artkive box, you will receive it within 5 – 7 business days.
Step 2 – Mail your Artkive box with all your keepsakes: The second part is the easiest and the fun part of the process. Once we had received our box, I spent the next couple of days carefully selecting Mishika’s artwork from over the years that I really wanted to treasure. It was such a fun activity and it also got Mishika involved in hunting around the home to find the artwork papers lying around. Once the box was filled with all the lovely keepsake artwork, all I did was mail the box to the Artkive team. (*You can opt into getting your child's artwork returned afterwards, too!)
Step 3 – Complete & receive: The final step in the process and the most awaited one. Once the Artkive designers carefully create your Artkive book, they will then send you a digital version of your final Artkive book to proofread before publishing. Once you confirm the book, the Artkive team then publishes it and mails the final Artkive book to you!
Going through the Artkive book and watching Mishika’s kid artwork treasured in it was such a joy and brought so many wonderful memories fresh to life. From Mishka's first mother’s day art to her first flower drawing, there is everything in that Artkive book safely treasured minus the clutter!
Mishika & I love going through the book whenever we get a chance and I absolutely love listening to her imaginative baby stories on how she created it. It’s a beautiful keepsake for the years to come!
