This super-easy, inexpensive to make and delicious chocolate dipped strawberry dessert will leave you always wanting for more. A perfect Valentine day dessert!
Everything sounds so amazing about chocolate-dipped strawberries! Don’t you think so? I love strawberries. You will always find a tub of strawberries lying in our refrigerator as they are everyone’s favourite in our home. Over the years I have started to enjoy them in different ways like either tossing them in my salad or making a strawberry cream cheese pie or even adding them in my little one’s smoothies. Every version of these delicious strawberries tastes amazing and most importantly they are all approved by my toddler as well.
So this Valentine’s day, I wanted to make a sweet treat to celebrate the day but also wanted to make it in the least time possible. And what could sound easier than the chocolate-dipped strawberries! They are as simple to make as they sound.
Also, the thing that I really like about this super easy dessert is that despite it being one of the easiest and cheapest desserts to make, chocolate-covered strawberries are one of those fancy, bite-size desserts that everyone loves, and the sky is the limit when it comes to dressing them up. From adding sprinklers, drizzling white chocolate, no matter what they always turn out beautiful and impressive looking.
So are you all ready to try out this ridiculously easy (takes me less than 30 minutes to make) chocolate covered strawberry that will definitely be a great hit for your next parties, treating your little ones or as Valentine’s day dessert!

Ingredients
8 – 10 Fresh strawberries
Ghirardelli baking chips or Baker’s Baking Chocolate (they both give the best chocolate consistency)
Sprinklers
Time
20 – 30 minutes (including the refrigeration time)
How to make chocolate-covered strawberries
- Wash and dry your strawberries thoroughly. Keep them aside in a plate or a bowl
- Melt your chocolate in a bowl in 30 seconds interval
- Once your required melted chocolate consistency is achieved, dip your strawberries in it one by one
- Then dip the same strawberry in a bowl of sprinkles (just the tip of the strawberry)
- Lay the strawberries on prepared baking sheet on a tray
- Refrigerate the tray for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate is set
Tip
How your final chocolate-covered strawberries turn out, it all depends on the quality of your chocolate. A low-quality chocolate baking chips or chocolate bar will not give you that consistency or even melt easily. I really like the Ghirardelli baking chips as it is great quality chocolate and is also available in different versions from sweet, semi-sweet to bitter that you can choose for depending upon the occasion.
What can you sprinkle on strawberries?
- Whipped cream
- Melted white chocolate
- Sprinkles
- Chopped nuts
- Shaved coconut
- Graham cracker crumbs
- Crushed Oreo cookies
What pairs well with chocolate-covered strawberries?
A perfect Valentine day treat. Chocolate covered strawberries pairs really well with Champagne and sparkling wine.
How long do these chocolate covered strawberries last?
They usually last anywhere between 1-2 days maximum if stored in the refrigerator. I usually store them in an airtight container but you can also leave them on the baking tray uncovered for up to one day.
