One of my biggest struggles postpartum has been not having enough energy to carry me through the day. The main reason for that was that I had gained close to 70 pounds during my pregnancy which was really hard to lose after having the baby which had put me in the unhealthy BMI range. After becoming a mom especially, a first-time mom, time just seems to pass by. Days turned into months and months into years and before I knew it, my daughter was two years old.

Between taking care of a baby, working full-time, growing a full-time blog, and the never-ending household tasks, trying to get fit was the last thing in my mind. Everything remained the same until starting this year when I was sipping a coffee at work and suddenly felt breathless. This was not the first time, I was feeling something like this. For the past few days that week, I was unable to sleep as I found it really difficult to breathe. But that day at work, it was just unbearable. I immediately stepped out of my workplace and went for a walk so that I could feel better. It took me quite some time, to feel better but that definitely was a big RED FLAG.

I went ahead and saw my doctor a couple of days later and shared this incident with her. Although I knew what I was going to hear from her, still her actually telling me this made me realize that I was really harming myself. Because of the unhealthy weight that I was carrying along, it was getting really difficult for my body to handle it. My knees were giving in, I was out of breath and the worst I felt like I had no energy to carry myself through the day.

So that is when I took the decision to lose all my pregnancy weight and feel healthy again. As I had already mentioned in my first blog post here that one of my main reasons for not being able to lose weight was nighttime binging. Trying to grow a full-time side hustle while having a full-time day job and a toddler at home, the only time that I would get to work on my blog was in the night when Mishika was asleep and that was the exact time when I would also binge eat. I was very grateful to have come across Always Eat After 7 PM by Joel Marion that has been helping me through the past few months, to slowly and steadily prepare myself to lose all my weight and feel healthy again.

A couple of weeks back, I had started with Intermittent fasting as shared here which is the first phase of the diet formula by Joel Marion and it has been a complete game-changer. I have never felt so light, healthy and with a ton of energy as compared to in the past few years. Also Always Eat After 7 PM has a ton of recipes from healthy breakfast ideas to dinner recipes including desserts, through which you can plan your healthy meals and snacks which are high in protein and will provide you a ton of energy instantly.

My favorite recipe so far from the book has been the matcha protein shake and the spicy roasted chickpeas which I always make in a big stock to store and eat when I am hungry. So far with me following the diet from the book, which allows me to eat healthy as well satisfy my night time binging has helped me to lose weight, feel lighter, feel more healthy and most importantly I have a ton of energy to take me through the day to run around my active toddler.

If you are someone who is in the same boat trying to lose weight and feel energetic again to carry out your busy day then Always Eat After 7 PM can be a great place to start. The three-phase program will teache you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest which may sound too good to be true. Make sure to grab a copy of your book here.
