Introduce the colourful blossom trees of the spring season to your little ones with this fun and creative spring tree craft.

Isn't the start of spring always amazing? It's like the onset of a beautiful new life and it's just so beautiful to watch the colourful and blooming trees and flowers everywhere around us.

With every new season, there is always so much that we can teach our little ones.

And the best way to get them actively involved in the learning process is through activities!

Lately, as the snow around us has started to melt, my little girl has already started asking me a ton of questions like why does some tree have leaves and others do not?

Why are flowers in different colours?

Where were the birds when it was snowing here? And the list is endless….:)

So to help her understand the changing season and what each season brings with it, I have been loving doing a ton of spring activities with my daughter.

I have been having so much fun doing these activities with her and it has been a great way to welcome the new season in our home.

Today in this blog post, I will be sharing a fun and creative tree craft for your little ones that they will love doing. The best thing about tree crafts is that they are so versatile. You can do the same craft for all four seasons, to show your child how the tree changes in every season – fall, winter, spring and summer!

We did the same tree craft in four different ways for the spring seasons, and all of them were so helpful in introducing the parts of trees, flowers and fruits and much more.

Also, this craft is great for

  • Motor skill development
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Creativity

So are you ready to try out this simple spring tree craft with your kids?

Spring tree crafts for kids

We had tried these fun and minimal setup spring crafts at home and each craft were great in introducing one new creative art skill to my daughter.

A few things that you will require for these crafts

Spring tree craft #1 – Fork painting tree craft

Spring tree crafts for kids

Fork painting is a great way to help develop fine motor skills. Place some green washable paint on a paper plate and let your toddler press his fork on the paint and then on the tree. Also, we added a few pom-poms on the tree to show the colourful flowers of the spring season.

Spring tree craft #2 – Pom pom painting tree craft

Pom pom painting is a very easy way of exploring colours as well as fine motor skill development for kids.

Spring tree craft #3 – Brush painting tree craft

In this craft, I let my daughter simply practice brush strokes and then add a few glue & pink sprinkles to the tree.

Spring tree craft #4 – Construction paper tree craft

I had cut out a few small squares of construction paper and also let my daughter practice cutting with a kid-friendly scissor. Then we added glue to the tree and stuck the construction paper on it.
