Buffalo always has a lot to offer in each and every season. From skiing, ice skating in winter to colorful fallen leaves landscapes in fall, with each season year long there is always something fun to do here. So as we are having a perfect summer here with lots of sunny days, this past weekend Mayank and I packed up all our picnic gears, some tasty snacks to eat, cool drinks and not to forget our favorite baby lounger from Dockatot in the car and headed out to spend a few beautiful hours in the late afternoon just lounging and playing games in the sun. We love coming back to this beautiful Ellicott Creek park which as the name goes runs along a creek and you can often find many geese and squirrels in the park happily co-existing with each other. Also, there are many launching pads available along this creek if you are a kayak or boat owner.

Mayank found us this beautiful spot in the shade overlooking the creek where we were able to set up all our picnic gears. As it was snack time for Mishika we started off with some tasty snacks and cool drinks that we had carried along with us. I love picnic foods, it always looks so tempting and is also a lot of fun to prepare. I was carrying a variety of fruits, cheese, and fruit parfaits. Also I had tried out a tasty fruit punch drink for the first time which was a huge success in our picnic. Once we were done eating, we played around passing the ball , frisbee which Mishika loved. Also, she enjoyed waving to all the passing boats and kayaks around us.

This wicker picnic basket has been with us for years and we love carrying all our picnic food in this. I am a big fan of wicker and love collecting them.

Dockatot was not only perfect for Mishika to lounge but even I enjoyed just laying next to her in her soft sleeper. Although Mishika did find this really funny 🙂

I felt a little adventurous and decided to get a little close to the water, It was definitely a very beautiful and peaceful feeling and I did end up spending a few good minutes in solitude just admiring the nature around me.

Mishika loved collecting all the fallen pine cones and arranging them in a row while Mayank and I relaxed by the creek in our camping chairs.

We had a beautiful day at the park just relaxing and soaking in all the sun. As it started to get a little cool later, we packed up our picnic and headed back home. I am sure that going forward we will be doing a lot more picnic days like these.
